When I removed and reinserted the power cord the same problem persisted of battery not resuming charging.

Lenovo z50-70 plugged in but not charging solution. The laptop is relatively new bought in Jan. View the lenovo ideapad z40-70. Lenovo z50-70 broken charger port - works fine just cant charge up to power on as charger port was damaged due to screws falling out and due to what Im assuming is the connections inside fraying.
